Bug List

This page contains a list of known problems with WinACE.  Updates will be posted as I become aware of them.

Version 1.00

  • If the game does not connect, or becomes disconnected, you may have to exit the program and start it over again to try to reconnect
  • If the screen redraws while executing a path prompt, the red outlines do not redraw
  • If you right click to "back up" while executing a path command, the center line does not "undraw"
  • The territory option in the select sectors box does not always work correctly. Also, there is no way to set territories through the menus.
  • The client does not support flash, or inform options. These must be toggled off.
  • Toggle command is not on the menu, it has to be entered thru the comand window.
  • When the update aborts a command, client can "lose its place" and seem to freeze. You have to exit and restart program to fix this
  • When other countries share a bmap, the system shows small letters for each character, rather than large. This can cause some confusion.
  • When a ship carrying lands and/or planes move, the client updates the ship records, but not the land/planes. These still show as being in the original hex until their database records are updated.
  • When units are scrapped/scuttled, they are not removed from the local database until the next full unit update.
  • When you do a read and there are no pending telegrams, the "No telegram" message gets appended to your last telegram
  • Enemy Unit records are never automatically removed. You must manually hide or delete them.
  • When you reset the origin, the enemy sector and units X,Y positions are not updated.
